Our adoption consultant received our documents and check today and I could not be more thrilled (usually when I part with money I get a bad case of Buyers Remorse...it doesn't matter if it's for clothing, food, cleaning supplies...just whatever. I've always been that way, even when I was younger.). While I am parting with a good bit of money (well, a good bit of money for me and Kyle), I have such a feeling of jubilee. The consultant called me today to let me know she received it. She also said she looked over our adoption profile book and told me it was so adorable. She told me that my husband and I are such a cute couple and she really thinks it will show well. If we don't get any "bites" on it, she will make our profile but hopefully it does show very well since it will be extra money for her to make us one (but completely worth the money). We will go "active" with her in January since our homestudy should be finished right about then. I hope our home study is completed in the middle of December. Everytime I talk with our consultant I feel such a joy and peace in my heart.
The lady from the resource center emailed me today to let me know that she received our adoption profile book (hey, it never hurts to network!). It's been about a month since our meeting and I kind of thought she would forget about me but she emailed me this evening and told me she received our book and that it is beautlful (her words, not mine!). That made me feel really good.
